Welcome to Jardins Liliane
Tools for cultivation of the Inner Garden

Here I hope you will find beauty, comfort and useful tools for personal growth, tools which I wish to share from the teachings and practices which have nourished my life.

Jardins Liliane is dedicated to my mother, Harriet, and my grandmother, Lillian, who both shared an appreciation for gardens and the grace in Nature. To them I owe my artistic sensibilities and the deeply quiet patience that emerges from working with the earth.

Inner cultivation, like gardening
, can over time produce rich rewards. Dedication and presence lead to transformation. Like laboring with the earth, spiritual cultivation can be a challenging task. The practice of being present in one’s life and body is not always serene or joyful. Although the rewards—peace and freedom—are priceless, at times one may gaze upon a barren landscape and question the possibility of ever bringing forth beauty and abundance. A daily practice amplified by support of a community, a teacher  and commitment to Self can ease the strain of difficult times. The beliefs and insights we unearth from the hardest clay, like the semi-precious stones in my mala beads, are often more enduring than life’s seasonal bouquets and luscious vegetables

Prayers beads, or malas, help to focus the mind, evoke sacred presence and develop a feeling of familiar comfort. A well-used set of beads carries its own, sometimes powerful, energy, The prayer beads I create are one-of-a-kind creations born from the pain of my eldest son, Emil’s, suicide in 2003. Initially an outlet for creativity and focus, they have become beautiful messengers of spiritual comfort as wedding gifts, healing tools and friendship offerings. My assistant Samantha Marissa Hunter and I would especially enjoy the opportunity to make a unique set for you personally or as a gift. The beads are also available at the Oglethorpe Museum of Art and The Bead Shoppe in Avondale Estates, GA

The essays included here I write from time to time, based on my teachings. I hope they are of benefit to you on your spiritual journey.

May all beings enjoy happiness. May they be free of suffering. May we all live together in peace.

Namaste,
Lily
